Welcome Message
Thank you for visiting the Helix Forum!

FALKIRK'S Helix environmental project will involve lots of community participation during 2008.

People will have a chance to say how they would like to contribute to the initiative, which will start to take shape in 2009.

The Living Landmarks judges who made the final decision to give The Helix the mammoth award of £25 million, were impressed with the huge amount of community input the project has attracted and with suggestions of how the project should be developed.

In 2008 there will be extensive opportunities to influence the future plans and this forum offers a communications medium to Falkirk Council, British Waterways and the other bid partners for your opinions to be heard.

We hope you will use this facility to ask questions or provide feedback on this exciting project for the Falkirk area....

Newsflash

AN industrial landscape between Falkirk and Grangemouth is set to be transformed into an inspirational green space which will be open and accessible to all, thanks to a massive £25 million grant from the Big Lottery Fund to the innovative Helix project in Falkirk.

This massive injection of funding, planned to take place over the next six years, will allow the Helix project to radically transform the environment in the Forth Valley as part of the BIG Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks programme.  This award is the first of its kind in Scotland through this programme, and the largest ever awarded by BIG to individual projects so far.
